The Ramada Plaza Phuket Chao Fah is so pleased to welcome Eddy Brosse, a Franco-British national with over 2 decades of hotel experience, as its pre-opening General Manager. Eddy lands in Phuket with a wealth of ground pan-European experience, mostly in branded properties across London, Paris and Spain. He grew through the ranks of Novotel hotels, The Ascott Group and Holiday Inn’s. “This is a 30-year long dream come true; I love Asian cultures, learnt Japanese at University and travelled extensively across South East Asia. Having worked for Singaporean The Ascott Group in London, this was the closest I had come to it thus far. Now I am living the dream. Phuket is a lot more than I expected however. Like most people I had the ‘Patong beach‘ experience in mind, but I quickly realised that I am getting a lot more than I bargained for. Our 257-room hotel with 2 restaurants and bars is leveraging on the rich cultural heritage that makes the DNA of Phuket: typically a peranakan town (or ‘baba yaya’ as we call it in Thailand) where Hokkien immigrant workers blended with the local Thai culture, but also influenced by British and French traders coming to the island to buy tin from our mines (the hotel sits next to one of them). The hotel design and operations have been strongly influenced by all this combined heritage and we are proud to maintain the momentum while supporting our local community. |
Already, I am so proud of leading #TeamChaoFah, a winning team of soon 140 members ready to wow you at every corner. Just be ready to expect the unexpected.”
When not managing his “massive shophouse”, Eddy or “the crazy Farang on the green bike” as he calls himself, can also be spotted on his long-tail around Chalong Bay! Someone is blending in fast.
