This year, more than 200 pieces, by 75 leading artists from 33 countries, are being exhibited at 20 significant locations throughout Bangkok. The event, in the theme of “Happiness through Art”. The EmQuartier shopping complex is honored to exhibit pieces by Choi Jeong Hwa, contemporary artist, designer and trendsetter from Republic of Korea. With a number of awards received, he specializes in space and large shapes that attracts attention from afar. Two of his art installations will take turn in the exhibition, HAPPY HAPPY PROJECT 2018: Chinese Characters Lotus is on display today until 21 October 2018, while HAPPY HAPPY PROJECT 2018: About Being Irritated is on display between 22-30 October 2018 at Quartier Parc, The EmQuartier shopping complex. Moreover, there will be an exhibition from Sanitas Pradittasnee , a Thai artist who specializes in landscape architecture and large scale art installations. This time, an outdoor piece, Equilibrium, which feature a placement of inflatable punching bags with Blue and White patterns, will be on display at Quartier Avenue, G floor, The EmQuartier shopping complex, between 1 - 7 November 2018. Wisut Ponnimit, a world - class illustrator, the creator of adorable cartoon character, Mamuang, will bring to life Mamuang and her four-legged friend, Manow, in an animated form between 19 October 2018 - 3 February 2019. Lastly, Kawita Vatanajyankur , a female artist on the rise known for her Video Art, where she used her own body to illustrate household utilities with a strong message and saturated play of color. Her pieces have been accepted and exhibited in art festivals around the world. During this year’s Bangkok Biennale, she will display her latest collection of Video Arts between 19 October 2018 - 3 February 2019. International contemporary art festival, Bangkok Art Biennale 2018, is being held in Thailand for the first time, featuring pieces from more than 75 world-renowned artists from 33 countries.
