BRINGING together organizations, resources and people who help to make living in Bangkok a more fulfilling experience, this year’s edition of Bumrungrad International Hospital’s popular annual Living in Bangkok event (scheduled for Sat Sept 19) will have a ‘Staying Active in Bangkok’ theme. So alongside the usual mix of international schools, craft shops, travel agencies and food delivery services showcasing their wares, the event will feature an additional range of sports clubs and academies as well as vendors of organic and natural healthcare products. |
“When moving to Bangkok, many people find it difficult to stay active while they adjust to the new environment,” says Roland Hohmann, Manager of Bumrungrad Hospital’s Expatriate Market Segment. “So this year we have invited organizations that offer recreational activities and support a healthy lifestyle. And while about 50% of our visitors are newly arrived expats, longtime residents are bound to find some new and interesting services too.” This year all vendors will be brought together onto one floor with the aim of creating a very social community event. Designed to engage both young and old, the event will have multiple areas for kids to enjoy, plus table football activities, photo stalls, workshops from ThaiCraft and much more. |
“Our performance program has also changed a bit,” says Roland, “and will feature food preparation classes and sport demonstrations besides the great musical acts that we feature every year.”
