Initiated by Siam Setthabut, a well-respected collector who was in a discussion two years ago with Linda Cheng, Managing Director of River City Bangkok, this promising exhibition is dedicated for everyone peering into some rare and vintage cars. Mr. Sayam’s passion in classic cars started in his childhood and was inherited from his father, Mr. Aksorn Setthabut who was an avid classic car collector.

As a renowned classic car collector who also loves restoring old cars to its original condition, Mr. Siam is currently the President of Mercedes-Benz Club (Thailand), and had established a community with his friends that has brought together a large collection of classic cars showcased at River City Bangkok two years ago, showcasing some remarkable models distinguished in rarity and uniqueness. The objective is not only to attract visitors with the rarity or luxury of the cars, but to educate visitors about the cars, lineage, technology, social and political climate of the period at which the cars were being developed, and the historical significance of each automobile.

For this year, Classic Car Exhibition is more captivating thanks to its colorfulness and rarity. The lineup includes a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gull Wing (1955) in silver, a Mercedes-Benz 190SL (1957) in ivory, a Jaguar E-Type Series 3 (1973) in yellow, a Cadillac 62 (1955) in pink, a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Series 2 (1979) in purple, and a Rolls-Royce Corniche (1984) in pink. These very special automobiles are in courtesy of Mr. Sawat Horrungruang, Mr. Yuthachai Charanachitta, Mr. Sayam Setthabut as well as Mr. Decha, the founder of DECH antique shop.

This free entry exhibition starts from 20 February until 8 March at RCB Artery on the 1st floor. Revenue from donation box will be granted for a goodwill organization in support of public services.
