Earlier this week foodpanda Thailand successfully launched their brand new cloud kitchen concept named “Krua by foodpanda”. This delivery-only kitchen brings popular restaurants and street food vendors to foodpanda customers in Suan Luang, Phra Khanong and Watthana.
“Krua by foodpanda” is a cloud kitchen in which foodpanda’s restaurant partners cook their food in a dedicated kitchen space under a shared roof. Having foodpanda as the facilitator, it provides the partners with facility, optimised kitchen organization and, for street food vendors, even with fixed kitchen equipment. A cloud kitchen is basically a takeaway outlet that provides no dine-in facility. They function as a production unit with a space for the preparation of food. The food can be ordered online.
For partner restaurants, Krua by foodpanda is an opportunity to increase their business by reaching more customers in unserved areas, while at the same time taking advantage of foodpanda’s efficient infrastructure. The space and facilities at Krua are offered up rent-free to the partners, in return for a percentage commission from their sales.

At the moment the Krua is based in The Curve Neighborhood Center in On Nut and combines seven popular restaurants under one roof: Cali-Mex Express, Dressed Express, Hunter Poke, Kah Moo Mengjai (Braised pork leg), Elvis Suki, Yord Pad Thai and Gownan.
“The purpose of this first Krua by foodpanda is to bring the sought-after food of popular Bangkok restaurants to foodpanda customers in Suan Luang, Phra Khanong and Watthana. Thereby making sure that our customers can order the food they love” says Floris Bos, Chief Commercial Officer at foodpanda Thailand.

Krua in On Nut will definitely not be the last kitchen of the company, as foodpanda looks to roll out more Krua’s across Bangkok in the near future.
