Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort, which is nestled just steps from the sea on Phuket’s sunset coast, has continued to give back to the local community with an important initiative that will help hospital patients and underprivileged children to get a great night’s sleep.
The resort has teamed up with four caring organizations to provide 900 soft, comfy pillows to those in need. In partnership with Patong Hospital, the only public medical and healthcare facility in the town, a donation of 300 pillows will offer additional comfort to patients and their relatives when they require overnight stays.
The remaining 600 pillows were evenly distributed between three highly worthwhile children’s charities. Two hundred pillows were donated to Child-Watch Phuket Foundation, which supports orphaned and homeless children, including those whose parents have been imprisoned, while a further 200 were delivered to the Phuket Special Education Center, which helps young people with learning and physical disabilities. The final 200 pillows were presented to SOS Children’s Villages Thailand, which supports kids who have lost their parents or relatives.
