GET, a leading on-demand lifestyle services provider and the fastest growing food delivery platform in Bangkok, has launched Sharing Happiness, an initiative with 1.5 million baht in funding provided through the Gojek Partner Support Fund, that aims to lend support to GET driver and merchant partners impacted by COVID-19.
GET driver partners have continued to serve as frontline heroes amid the crisis, serving Bangkokians’ daily needs, while many SME merchant partners’ livelihoods have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. Sharing Happiness will support them through two programs:
· Free meals for driver partners. Meals will be offered through selected SME merchants during a two-months period. The program will feed thousands of GET driver partners in Bangkok each week, while at the same time support the city’s small merchants, whose income has decreased during this time. 30 merchants will be selected for each month to participate in the program.
· One-time income assistance. For driver partners diagnosed with or quarantined for COVID-19 by health authorities and unable to earn income, GET will offer one-time income assistance. This program is in addition to the COVID-19 insurance program launched in March for GET driver partners.

Pinya Nittayakasetwat, GET Chief Executive Officer, said, “We at GET are grateful to our driver-partners for helping us maintain reliable and safe deliveries and transport services during the pandemic. GET’s role has become more crucial than ever to keep people fed and keep the city moving safely. At the same time, we understand that it’s been challenging for our driver and merchant partners, who brave the city every day to serve our users. We will continue to find ways to look after our partners and ensure they can support themselves and their families through this period.”
The Sharing Happiness initiative is funded from contributions from the Gojek Partner Support Fund, which was established in March under the Anak Bangsa Bisa Foundation. The fund aims to make a positive difference in the lives of Gojek’s more than 2 million partners across the region. The Gojek Partner Support Fund is funded through multiple sources, including donations from Gojek employees in all markets, including GET in Thailand, and corporate partners, and a redirection of organization-wide planned annual salary increases.
Since the outbreak, GET has implemented various programs under the #letsGETsafe initiative to support its driver partners and merchant partners, including distribution of face masks, COVID-19 insurance for driver partners and others, and to ensure the safety and security of GET users.
