Dazzling colors of fireworks erupted over the Chao Phraya River with a spectacular display of eco-friendly fireworks - the highlight of the magnificent phenomenon “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020” at ICONSIAM to ring in the New Year.
Standing itself as the country’s landmark for countdown celebration known all over the world, the event featured the stunning show of over 20,000 fireworks made of Thai sticky rice, an eco-friendly innovation from Japan, covering a distance of 1,400 meters along the river. Based on the theme of "Seven Wonders of Blessings", the stunning fireworks illuminated the skyline in seven acts implied with auspicious meanings namely the glory, sustainability, prosperity, joy to the world, diamond in the sky, lucky star, and power of love as the New Year blessings to send happiness and joy to Thai people and foreign visitors on December 31, 2019 at River Park of ICONSIAM.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) had teamed up with ICONSIAM, The ICONSIAM Residence Corporation Limited, ICONSIAM Superlux Residence Corporation Limited, True Corporation Public Company Limited along with the main official sponsor Kasikornbank, public and private partners, communities and entrepreneurs along the Chao Phraya River to organize “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020” at ICONSIAM promising to be the grandest and most spectacular event in welcoming the New Year.
The magnificent event was the sole and official New Year’s Eve countdown of Bangkok, Thailand organized under the theme of "Seven Wonders of Blessings" to emphasize that the historical Chao Phraya River is a significant tourist attraction and the country’s landmark for countdown celebration known around the world. The highlight of the event was a dazzling display of over 20,000 eco-friendly fireworks in largest diameters, covering a distance of 1,400 meters along the river. A range of fun-packed performances by a parade of entertainers and artists were also presented throughout the night of December 31, 2019 at River Park of ICONSIAM.
