The deadline for registration is December 31, 2018 and the registration fee is 1,600 baht. The winner of the qualifiers goes on to play among the world’s top lady golfers at the same venue on February 21-24, 2019. Applicants may download the entry form at www.honalpgathailand.com. |
Held annually since 2006 in this tranquil environment, the competitive tournament showcases 60 of world’s elite LPGA players and 10 rising stars in women’s golf from all ages with a prize purse of $1.6 million. This is a prime example of Honda's commitment to help people realise their dreams and stimulate interest in the sport of golf in Thailand.
Recent years have witnessed the thrilling finishes coming down to the final shots on the last hole, and provided opportunities for top players such as South Korea’s Park Sung-hyun Ryu So-yeon the USA’s Lexi Thompson and Thailand’s very own Ariya Jutanugarn, currently ranked #1 in LPGA rankings, and her sister Moriya, to see what destiny has in store for them. This year will no doubt provide similar moments of sporting challenges.
We look forward to seeing many new faces this year give the veterans a run for the money, and heartily wish all contestants in the qualifiers and the 2019 Honda LPGA Thailand classic the very best of luck.
