3/8/2016

Comments

Delivering contemporary Thai luxury in style
LOCATED at the tip of Cape Yamu overlooking the Andaman Sea and the dramatic limestones of Phang Nga Bay, and featuring interiors by renowned Italian designer Paola Navone, COMO Point Yamu is simply stunning to look at; and it backs up these good looks with some excellent facilities and services.

The resort comprises 79 rooms and suites, as well as 27 private pool villas. Large windows offering views across Phang Nga Bay, or over cliffside Cape Yamu, give each accommodation an uplifting, airy feel, with modern touches – from satellite TVs to spacious bathrooms.

Numerous room types are available at COMO Point Yamu, each offering its own range of highlights. If you’re seeking upmost opulence, though, the COMO Villa (620sq m) is for you. This four-bedroom villa is Point Yamu’s largest space – three-stories high and located at the edge of the Cape. The upper level’s living room features a dining area for 10 that overlooks the pool terrace and sea, as well as chic Gervasoni furniture. In addition there are a number of lounges complete with daybeds, a TV, another dining table and views out to sea.

Multiple levels allow for privacy, making the COMO Villa ideal for two families travelling together.

COMO Point Yamu is located on a peninsula on Phuket’s east coast, a 25-minute drive from Phuket International Airport.

Two options are on offer for dining – La Sirena, which serves Italian cuisine and healthy dishes designed by the resort’s onsite wellness centre, COMO Shambhala Retreat; and Nahmyaa, which offers dishes inspired by Southern Thai street food – and there are a whole host of activities to enjoy, ranging from private boat trips to the stunning nearby beaches and islands, to Thai cooking classes and tours of Phuket and its old town.

Guests can also take a complimentary day trip to COMO Beach Club, on Naka Yai Island, just 30-40 minutes by boat from Yamu Pier. Highlights of the secluded beach escape include a saltwater pool with large sun deck; beachside restaurant and bar offering light bites, simple grilled dishes and local treats; two COMO Shambhala treatment rooms; private ‘salas’ complete with a daybed, seating area, shower and bathroom; watersports centre; and a kids’ club.
