The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, presents STYLE Bangkok Fair, which will be held between 17-21 October 2018 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The fair combines three international trade fairs together, including Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair (BIFF & BIL), Bangkok International Gifts and Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG + BIH), and Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF). The cooperation amongst both public and private sectors, and twenty-four associations brings in creative designs, original ideas, and innovation from over 1,000 brands sprawling across 2,300 booths. This shows Thailand’s potential as a leader of international lifestyle fair of the region, attracting buyers from over 80 countries around the globe.
The Minister of Commerce, Mr. Sontirat Sontijirawong, says that “STYLE Bangkok is an international trade fair that offers lifestyle products, ranging from fashion, garment, leather goods, furniture, gifts, houseware, to spa products, in response to the consumer’s demands. Following one of the key policies of the government, namely the promotion of ‘Local to Global’, Thai entrepreneurs, particularly those from the provincial parts, are encouraged to participate in the fair, with over 400 of those small entrepreneurs are actually participating. It is an opportunity for them to showcase their unique products made from outstanding skills combined with local materials. This show is also an answer to the government’s call for the development of ‘Creative Economy’ which aims to draw out creative ability that is embedded in our DNA and make it materialize as new services and products. Those businesses involving character licensing, spa and herbal products, printing, Muay Thai, and design products are the global demands we’re focusing.”
