IconSiam becomes Bangkok’s most expensive building

THE luxurious 50 billion baht IconSiam riverside development in Bangkok is set to become the city’s most expensive property, with prices of up to 560,000 baht per sqm for its condominium units – a staggering 200,000 baht more than its current competitors.
    
Located on a 20-acre site on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River opposite the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, the 52-floor project being developed by three property giants – Magnolia Quality Development Corporation, Siam Piwat and Charoen Pokphand Group. IconSiam will also include two retail complexes and a spectacular waterfront promenade.

​The Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok will provide management services for The Residences, as well as bespoke amenities for individual residents.
    
A spokesman for the IconSiam Superlux Residence Corporation, said: “We are investing US$250 million and spending more than 30 percent more per saleable square metre than the best of any residential offering in the city.
    
“Every residence has an unobstructed view of the river and lush gardens.”
    
Residences range in price from 350,000 to 560,000 baht for the penthouses, and in size from 130 sqm to 230 sqm.

    
Meanwhile, the Four Seasons Private Residences on the Bangkok side of the Chao Phraya River have been launched with prices starting at 280,000 baht per sqm. Ownership is for 75 years comprising of three 25-year renewable leases.
    
​Located on a huge site on Charoenkrung Road, the waterfront project will feature a 73-storey residential tower and two world-class hotels, Four Seasons and the Capella.
