ICONSIAM has worked with leading artists to unite Thai hearts for social recovery and send support to Korat people by organizing “ICONSIAM Thais Give to Thais: Artist Hearts for Korat” during February 28 to March 15, 2020 at ICONSIAM Art Space on the 8th floor of ICONSIAM
ICONSIAM, the world’s landmark on the banks of Chai Phraya River, is a pioneer to organize a major event “ICONSIAM Thais Help Thais” for economic and social recovery by working with the public and private sectors as well as business operators aimed at encouraging national unity to help and support fellow Thais in four dimensions including Thais Travel Thailand, Thais Buy Thai Products, Thais Give to Thais, and Thais Value Thais. The event also aims to send support to Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) people affected by the recent tragedy and create relaxing atmosphere at ICONSIAM for tourists and locals alike.
ICONSIAM has worked with leading local artists to host “ICONSIAM Thais Give to Thais: Artist Hearts for Korat” at ICONSIAM Art Space with various art activities aimed to send support for fellow Nakhon Ratchasima people. Starting with an exhibition “Appreciate Art: Full of Merit”, this is the first-time exhibition of Thailand compiling over 30 artworks by noted local artists from the central and the northeastern regions under the same roof. Among the participating artists are Jitsing Somboon, Pairoj Wangbon, Chaiwut Thiempan, Santi Thongsuk, Saengthong Ket-uthong and Nakrob Moonmanas. Another activity is “Creating Art: Printing” that five top artists including Amrit Chusuwan, Sakwut Wisesmanee, Chalit Nakpawan, Sutee Kunavichayanont, and Chaichon Sawantaraj will each design his own distinctive pattern to be screen-printed on T-shirts and cloth bags offered for sale at the event at special prices. Proceeds from the sale will go to a fund for the Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality.

Every Saturday throughout the event meets “DIY Workshop of T-Shirt and Cloth Bag Screen-Printing” allowing participants to create their own distinctive style of works conducted by Sunthorn Channiwet. The workshop is limited to 30 people at a time and starts at 3pm. Another special activity is “Meet The ICON” by inviting art lovers to join in a series of art workshops led by leading artists. The programs include the personal flag creation workshop on February 29 by Sutee Kunavichayanont, the acrylic painting on canvas conducted by Chalit Nakpawan on March 1 and 7, the photography tips in different techniques by Tul Hirunyalawan on March 6, and the basic caricature drawing by Noppera Bosri on March 8. The last week of the event offers the workshop on printing pattern for silkscreen technique by Jitsing Somboon on March 14, and the poster design in collage style by Nakrob Moonmanas on March 15. Interested persons can register to participate in “Meet the ICON” activity at ICONSIAM Art Space on the 8th floor of ICONSIAM at 1.30pm on the day of the held activity. ICONSIAM Art Space on the 8th floor of ICONSIAM is the new exhibiting art space of Bangkok that is designed to be a center to display and promote artworks of both local and international artists and become a platform for any interested people to conduct activities and share art experiences in different fields. |
