The event will also see the customary ritual of paying respect to the Goddess of Water as well as the spectacular waterworks display of vibrant sight and sound on the riverfront, an exhibition of Krathong handcrafted by officials and members from 15 embassies, and more cultural activities to celebrate festive event and the glorious beauty of Chao Phraya River at ICONSIAM. The Embassy of France : Rooster is an unofficial symbol in France. Since Roman period, French people is called “Gaulios”, which is associated with a Latin word “Gallus” that means “rooster”. Then French people is being called rooster that symbolize of brave and intelligent. Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia : Prambanan Temple or Loro Jonggrang Temple is a part of the Prambanan Temple Compounds, a complex consisting of 240 temples, located in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Temple, built in the 9th Century, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the three great Hindu divinities. While Prambanan Temple is a Hindu Temple, Sewu, Lumbung, Bubrah and Asu Temples are Buddhist temples. It was selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. The Embassy of Italy : The Kratong of this year is dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci, the Italian Renaissance Genius. One of the most iconic and futuristic project of Leonardo is the “Tank”, which was inspired by a turtle’s shell. The Embassy of Japan in Thailand : Muaythaishi (“Tai” means red snapper) , mascot of Embassy of Japan which symbolizes the long-standing friendship between the peoples of Japan and Thailand., wearing a Thai headdress and boxing costume. The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Thailand : Golden eagle on Qazaqstan’s flag symbolizes the power of the state and also independence, freedom and flight to the future in the modern period. The pattern represents the art and cultural tradition of Kazakh people. The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar : Karaweik Restaurant, one of the most recognizable landmark in Myanmar, is situated on the Kandawgyi lake in central Yangon.
