Thailand and Italy have established diplomatic relations for 151 years. Crystal Design Center (CDC) and the Embassy of Italy recently joined in the celebration in “CDC Italian Festival 2019.”
The festival depicts world-class furniture innovation and home decoration designs from Italy, and the theme is Urban Living in Nature. Mr. Lorenzo Galanti, Ambassador of Italy to Thailand, officially opened the festival. The Ambassador also bestowed upon Mr.Kaveephan Eiamsakulrat Cavaliere dell’ Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy.) Mr. Kaveephan Eiamsakulrat is Chairman of the Executive Board of K.E Group of Companies. He has been instrumental in promoting strong relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Italy, especially in the areas of arts, culture, lifestyles, and designs for more than ten years. The event took place at Crystal Design Center (Ekamai-Ramindra Expressway) on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
“I am deeply honored to have been bestowed this Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia from the Government of Italy,” said Khun Kaveephan Eiamsakulrat. “I shall continue to strengthen relations between our two countries. Business-wise, my commitment is to turn CDC into a comprehensive design center in Asia rolling out Italian-based innovation, new trends of furniture and home decorations of both modern and vintage designs. I believe that our young designers shall get inspiration from various channels, including exhibitions and seminars. Our group is proud to become a part in creating such inspiration through our annual CDC Italian Festival that has been going on for more than ten years.”
The focus of CDC Italian Festival 2019 is creativity and constructive design of furniture and home decoration items of world-class Italian designers. A large number of products are on display at the festival.

For example, Beehive Avolo Lamp of the brand name of Foscarini by Decoricco got inspiration from nature of ring-link circular beehive design from the base to top. The light is eye-friendly, and the source of light hidden. Beehive Avolo Lamp can also become a beautiful decorative item even when the light is off.
Made from walnut wood, Intervallo Football Table of the brand name of Teckell is smooth comprising a crystal glass of 12-millimeter thick, a marginally curved corner. Its Telescopic Rods-designed handle does not extend beyond the table area. The wooden table legs are adjustable.
Acacia Dining Table of the brand name of Calligaris by Euro Creations is another contemporary-look piece of furniture for an urban lifestyle. The materials are of high quality. The design of the table legs is tree-like whose table top is circular made from Temper safety glass. Although it is a dining table, it is stylish and fits in any corner of the room.
Basil Table of the brand name of Calligaris by Euro Creations got inspiration from nature whose tree-leaf-designed backrest made from polypropylene and reusable. It is light and available in multiple colors for mix-and-match purposes.
