Prior to her appointment at Oriental Residence, Hartatik has held the title of General Manager at prestigious hotels across China, including the Radisson Blu Forest Manor Shanghai Hongqiao and the Hilton Dali Resort & Spa.
Hartatik is a well-travelled multi-lingual hotelier with a passion for discovering new places and learning languages. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Indonesian, and has studied Japanese, Cambodian and German. During her rise into management, while working in several high-revenue markets, Hartatik has attended overseas buyers meetings and trade show trips in countries around Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. With her worldly experience, Hartatik is excited to usher Oriental Residence Bangkok towards further success.

Hartatik’s hospitality career of over 20 years started working at Reception and Guest Services at five-star resorts in Bali, Indonesia. In 1996, she moved into sales as an Account Manager for the ITT Sheraton Bali Nusa Dua’s Japanese market, growing the sector to 25 percent of the hotel’s revenue. Her natural skills as a leader landed her the job of Director of Sales at the Intercontinental Resort Bali in 2001 and later at the Intercontinental Phnom Penh in 2006. Since 2008, she has been based in China, taking over the General Manager position at the Maritim Hotel Changzhou in 2012.
Her well-rounded career, having worked her way up through various positions and departments into a General Manager role, demonstrates a hard-working, perseverant attitude. Along the way, Hartatik has also grown her skills and knowledge with an impressive amount of training and education, including several courses on leadership, finances and hotel management from institutions like Cornell University’s online programme.
Hartatik’s approach to successful hotel management is hands-on and results-oriented, with an emphasis on attention to detail and routine walk-arounds. Some of the highlights of her career include personally overseeing the highly precise planning behind the visits of several international high-profile guests, including heads of state from around Asia and celebrities, both in groups and individually, playing high-exposure festivals and concerts.
