Tech accessory brand CASETiFY leads the industry’s sustainability efforts by giving new life to any worn-out accessory.
CASETiFY, the global tech accessory brand loved by millennials, Gen Z, and Hollywood celebrities, has released today its sustainability Impact Report, shedding new light on the progress of its Re/CASETiFY collective upcycling program. Together with the new figures, the brand has also announced its month-long calendar of events across the globe that celebrate sustainability and art. The report showcases the brand's ongoing efforts, fueled by collaborations, fans, and followers, that have propelled them closer to making the end of any phone case the beginning of a new one.
Re/CASETiFY starts with its bins, located at more than 40+ CASETiFY Studio physical stores where the brand sells its products globally. Users can donate their old phone cases into the bin anytime, receiving store credit in return. Those that don’t live close to a physical store have an array of postal addresses to mail them to so that CASETiFY can dispose of them in the most responsible manner.
Upon reaching the plastic upcycling facility, the cases’ materials are shredded and separated into Re/CASETiFY pellets, the core material that is later on processed to be used as recycled plastic for new accessories, including phone cases, airpod cases, and more. In this process, any metallic or non-recyclable part is separated and disposed of properly.
Upon processing all discarded plastic, new accessories are created and sold both online in over 180 countries as well as in physical stores. To celebrate Earth Month, CASETiFY has released its Impact Report, where it details the achievements of its Re/CASETiFY Program.

CASETiFY Thailand Upcycles Old Phone Cases into Eco-Friendly Sandals
CASETiFY Thailand is inviting everyone to join their #WalkWithReCASETiFY movement! They've created a line of recycled sandals called "Re/CASETiFY Sandals" made by the Pattani community.
This initiative began in September 2022 with the opening of the first CASETiFY Studio in Thailand. Since then, tens of thousands of people (over 10,000 at both CentralWorld and Emsphere locations) have participated in the Re/CASETiFY project by dropping off their old phone cases in designated boxes.
For 2024, CASETiFY Thailand has taken a brilliant step forward. They've partnered with the Tlejourn Shoes Project, a non-profit that transforms ocean waste into shoe soles. Together with volunteers from Trash Hero, polymer scientists from Prince of Songkla University's Pattani Campus, fashion designers, and the Pattani community, they've upcycled those old phone cases into a limited edition of 500 pairs of Re/CASETiFY Sandals.
Each pair of sandals incorporates parts from 7 used phone cases and over 20 kilograms of ocean trash. This translates to a total of 1 ton (1,000 kilograms) of ocean waste diverted from polluting our waters!
You can be part of this impactful project! Simply bring your old phone case to any CASETiFY Studio in Thailand. Not only will you receive a 10% discount on CASETiFY products (subject to conditions), but CASETiFY Thailand will also thank you with a free pair of Re/CASETiFY Sandals (while supplies last). So join the movement and walk towards a cleaner future, one step at a time!
