Creative Director Nicola Glass delivers optimistic feminity with a touch of decadence for her sophomore runway collection For the Kate Spade New York Fall 2019 collection, creative director Nicola Glass focuses on the new house codes she introduced for Spring - always keeping the brand's core DNA in mind - while staying true to the brand promise of Optimistic Femininity. “This season, I started by imagining raiding an insanely glamorous woman's closet, and the rich, eclectic mix you'd find that you could make your own. For Fall 2019, I was inspired by the idea of a woman's closet and the thought of where clothes end up rather than where they originated.” shared Nicola Glass. “I envisioned women who are looking for clothes that are spirited, feminine and fundamentally effortless. There's a soft glamour to this collection...an easy fluidity.” Through fluid silhouettes, a bold use of color and fresh takes on novelty, Nicola continues to elevate the product assortment and evolve core concepts with new takes on sophisticated design techniques. The spade is reimagined in new prints and hardware seen across all product categories. |
In ready-to-wear, dramatic silhouettes are created in rich silks and intricate brocades, while croc embossed leather gives handbags a glossy shine. An explosion of animal prints in new colors and textures ground the new collection and become the focus of the season.
The Fall 2019 collection continues the brand evolution for Kate Spade New York under Nicola’s direction and infuses modern design, an air of sensuality and high-quality materials – all rooted in the idea of everyday luxuries.
