KIS International School Grade 4 student, Kaede is making a mark in the Bangkok community with her own start-up business, KIDLetCoin, a blockchain project that educates other children about blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and fiscal management.  Instead of cash allowances or rewards, 1 KID is equal to 1 hour of work, whether it’s homework, chores, or some other task. KidLetCoin is on the NEM network, a blockchain platform.

Kaede started this project after learning about how to start a business during a Unit of Inquiry on entrepreneurship last year and was then asked to speak at the Techsauce Global Summit. Kaede was invited to be a panelist on the main stage talking about  “Preparing Our New Generation for Jobs that Don’t Exist Yet.” The 2019 conference  was held at Centara Grand, Central World, Bangkok. With more than 15,000 attendees and more than 400 speakers representing more than 50 countries, this was definitely an opportunity to demonstrate the abilities of the younger generation.
