In 2020, the “MAI MULTI TALENT 2019” continues to move forward with the contest business to uphold Thai economy and tourism as well as to support new talents to enter the world stage. The growth rate is expected at 30% in 2019 and 2020, with over THB40-60 million incomes. With plans to invade international contests and to expand its business line to some other beauty pageants, the company is looking at a bright future with continuous growth.
As for upcoming contests in 2020, MAI prepares to adjust the form and content for each stage, making them more up-to-date. These stages include Mrs.Thailand, Mrs. Tourism Queen International, Miss Tourism Queen International, T-AM 2020, IMOTY International Model of the Year, and World Top Model. Contestants’ unique beauty, outstanding character, positive attitude, and talent will be highlighted. Social media and modern voting technology will come into play. This will be a significant strategy to promote Thai tourism through storytelling, which will be released in multiple social media channels e.g. YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
To emphasize great potential of Thailand, the company plans to expand its business to support Thai talents in the international stages. One of the projects is MAI Fashion Styling, where contestants from all over the world will get to join activities in each province of Thailand. This is one way to promote Thai tourism. MAI TALENT AGENCY, on the other hand, aims to encourage Thai models to join international modelling agencies in different countries in Europe or America. MAI will also advance its business line to Fashion Showcase & Live Merchant as well as Fashion Organization.
“For us, a contest is much more than a search for winners, it is also a business opportunity to get involved in entertainment and tourism industries. Thailand has a tremendous potential for such business as beauty pageant significantly contributes to the growth of tourism in the country. Through our appealing story and by encouraging contestants to experience authentic Thainess through multiple activities and local visits, we take parts in promoting Thailand to the world and making it the world’s number one tourist destination”, concluded Paweena.
