Up the River During Qingming - National Palace Museum Multimedia Art Exhibition Exhibition National Palace Museum (Taipei) and River City Bangkok continues to welcome visitors to Up the River During Qingming - NPM Multimedia Art Exhibition. For the first time in Southeast Asia, this exhibition faithfully depicts the spirit of the original paintings collected by the Chinese Emperors throughout the ages, providing all art enthusiasts, Chinese art aficionados, and the public the opportunity to get up close and personal with memorable artifacts from ancient China like never |
before. This first-of-its-kind exhibition will showcase valuable ancient art pieces in a new light through the use of modern multimedia technology as the medium, to bridge the gap between the old and new. The installations use high-tech innovation to create an immersive virtual and augmented reality experience where the audience can step into the paintings rather than just viewing them from afar. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience of this unique marriage between antiquity, art, and technology – an event not to be missed. The exhibition runs from now until February 12, 2019 at River City Bangkok’s new contemporary art floor (2nd floor).
Don't miss the range of special activities to be held over the four-month period of exhibition. There's, among other activities, a calligraphy workshop.
Tickets can be purchased at RCB Gallery Shop (the 2nd floor of River City Bangkok) or at

Italian Visuals Exhibition In celebration of 150 years of friendship between Italy and Thailand, River City Bangkok is proud to present ‘Italian Visuals,’ two exhibitions featuring Italian artists in RCB Photographers’ Gallery. Supported by the Italian Embassy and as part of the Italian Festival 2018 – 150th Anniversary Edition, Massimo Catalani and Antonio Saba will exhibit large-scale paintings and photographs, which will reflect their impressions and interpretations of both countries and cultures. Massimo Catalani’s ‘Thaiita,’ which comes from a neologism (Thailand + Italy), expresses his love for both places. While he has not yet visited Thailand |
before, he has a strong belief that the two places are similar in many ways. Visit the exhibition to see how these two places are linked and how Catalani expresses them. Antonio Saba’s exhibition, ‘Oneiirism, Dreamscapes,’ represent unforgettable visions that do not melt immediately out of mind but remain within: they absorb your attention as you gaze into them, seeking what goes behind and beyond reality. Visit to experience the unnatural and mysterious features Saba introduces, which create remarkable fragments of reality. Catalani will present a unique exhibition in RCB Photographers' Gallery 1, in which two parts will be in darkrooms, where as others will be in light, to allow the feeling of two opposite atmospheres and feelings. On the other hand, Saba will not only present works shots in Italy and around the world, but will also present works especially shot in Thailand for this exhibition.
They will be shown for the first time at RCB Photographers' Gallery 2.
The exhibitions will run from November 20, 2018 - January 7, 2019 in RCB Photographers' Galleries. For more information, click here.
