The Gallery 36 at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G on 2nd October – 22nd December 2019.
The Gallery 36 at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G proudly presents its first interactive storytelling exhibition, ‘Places & Traces’ a solo exhibition by Thai artist, BINKO. The collection of both interactive drawings and photography artworks will be on view from 2nd October – 22nd December 2019.
Phapfah Puttharugsa, also known as BINKO, is an illustrator who discovered her natural artistic talent while traveling the world.
BINKO chose to leave school at the age of 16 just to ‘find herself’. She taught herself to draw, practicing for years to become an illustrator. Her true artistic vision was finally realized when she decided to leave everything behind and went on a journey exploring different countries, cultures and meeting new people. Traveling from one place to another allowed her to view life, and herself from a new perspective which led to new ideas, sources of inspiration and discover her goals in order to continue her work path.
Places & Traces, a first solo exhibition by BINKO shows the colourful yet darker mood illustrated artworks which tell the story through personal memories and experiences encountered as she traveled from one destination to another.
The exhibition will be an innovative showcase of digital illustrations created using Augmented Reality* (AR) technology techniques whereby the viewer can enjoy the artworks with movement. The artist’s intention, which is realized with great effect, is to ‘bring her memories to life’.
The preview night for Places & Traces, Solo Exhibition by BINKO will be held on Wednesday 2nd October 2019 from 5PM – 8PM at The Gallery on the 36th floor of Pullman Bangkok Hotel G. The exhibition will continue until 22nd December 2019.
