Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Thomas Harlander as managing director of The Rosewood Bangkok, in Bangkok Thailand.
With more than18yearsof experience inthe luxuryhospitalityindustry, Harlander will manage and oversee all aspects of the latest ultra luxury hotel in a prime location within Bangkok’s central business district along Ploenchit Road, within an enclave encompassing embassies, new residential towers, offices and upscale retail.
Born and raised in Germany, Harlander’s successful career has taken him around the world. Mr. Harlander brings with him a wealth of luxury hospitality experience from many different locations, including Washington DC, Cologne, London, Los Angeles, Buenos Aries, Tokyo and from his current location in Seoul. Prior to joining Rosewood, his career has largely been spent with Hyatt hotels, primarily in the Park Hyatt brand where he held senior roles through food and beverage to general management. Mr. Harlander began his career after graduating from Simon-Knoll-School in Munich, Germany, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hotel Management.
Under Mr. Harlander’s lead, Rosewood Bangkok will open in Winter 2018, bringing a new and exciting destination into the Rosewood portfolio, further complementing our existing Southeast Asia presence.
