Visual artist Felipe Pantone, or as commonly known in the art scene as Pant1, is creator whose style is derived from a mix of kinetic and futuristic art, which are blended with his personal technique of special effects and highly advanced skills in order to bring artwork to life. Recognized by his peers and the industry as a game-changer, his wide-ranging repertoire include installations, paintings and murals in unusual settings. Most of his work have been inspired by the ever-changing world of internet and its disruption to the digital ecosystem which have completely transformed the way people live; as a result, a crossover type of artwork between glitch effects and optical art is formed. As one of the world’s leading contemporary artist, Felipe Pantone slowly rose to fame from some of his notable street murals such as the ones in Mesa Contemporary Arts Center, Long Beach Museum of Art in the U.S., Palais de Tokyo in France, including one of his signature work: the painting on the bridge across Guadalmedina River in Spain. This year, his work will once again make history as it is set to be unveiled in Thailand for the first time at Siam Center! |
Felipe Pantone said excitedly, “It’s an incredible honor to showcase my special co-created work at Siam Center. The ‘Current Work’ is an extraction of creativity, imagination and sheer excitement. I think it has the potential to be artwork of the year because it brings the advanced digital and art world together. Paintings Original Arts 2018 will also be unveiled, showcasing CHROMADYNAMICA#81, OPRICHROMIE#107, CHROMADYNAMICA#82 and SUBTRACTIVE VARIABILITY#25 for the first time. These featured artworks were formed by using high-level spraying techniques, seamlessly delivering color gradients on large planes of canvas – all by hands.” “The centerpiece of the exhibition, ‘Phenomenon’ is a product of innovative design and special craftsmanship, exclusively tailored for Siam Center. Also, ‘W3-Dimenshional Park’ installation art was designed to cover a significant space of 10 x 10 sqm with its 3-dimensional extravaganza, combining kinetic art with optical illusion techniques. The artwork will manipulate the way people see, tricking the eyes using layers of art pieces, various geometrical objects, interchangeably switching between colors and monochrome. Using computer-generated 3D molds, viewers can experience a sensory overload through contemporary artwork where they can explore various shapes like electric bolt, rainbow, and monochromatic objects. Because a lot of this is inspired by The World Wide Web as a three-dimensional space made of countless elements, unexpected configurations, and infinite data. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen before, and it’s exclusive to this event.” |
Felipe Pantone concluded, “I really hope that this art piece will bring some values and inspire viewers and those who appreciate art.”
