Siam Paragon Shopping Center presents an extraordinary endearing and indulging experience at “Siam Paragon presents Rilakkuma World Happiness Town”, the first themed event in Southeast Asia celebrating Rilakkuma - the cute Japanese bear character and its friends that have captured hearts all over the world. Sponsored by Kasikorn Bank, the adorable Rilakkuma characters meets fans from October 24 – November 10, 2019 at Parc Paragon, M Floor, Siam Paragon.
A gigantic 4-meter Rilakkuma happily welcomes fans to the laid-back world of these adorable characters plus 5 lovely activity zones including the backstory of the cutesy characters, adorable photo frames dotting all over, Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma, wide varieties of licensed merchandise from Japan along with a cute pop-up café serving playful treats ranging from refreshing beverages to charming cake baked in their irresistibly-cute visages.
Rilakkuma is a bear costume character who is relaxed and lazy, created by San-X in 2003 .The name Rilakkuma derived from a mash-up of ‘relax’ and ‘kuma,’ a Japanese world for bear, which vividly portrayed the character - a super cute languid bear, a true epitome of cuteness.
“Siam Paragon presents Rilakkuma World Happiness Town,” indulges the adorable bear lovers with 5 activity zones. Upon entering the happiness town, meet the giant 4-meter Rilakkuma. History Zone tells the story of a mundane office lady Kaoru who one day, out of nowhere, found plushy roommates- Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, and Kiiroitori in her apartment. Their loveable bonds exude impressive joy and radiate cuteness.

Rilakkuma’s characters are distinguished by their names because they do not like to move, they only like to lie around, roll around, sleep, watch television, listen to music, take baths, and chill out. Their favorite foods are pancakes, dumpling, and pudding. Even though their appearances are neutral, Rilakkuma characters have an abundance of friends. Sharing Kaoru’s apartment are also Korilakkuma, is a bear cub whose chest is adorned with red buttons. Korilakkuma is mischievous, like to listen to music, Kiiroitori - the adorably tiny yellow bird who likes cleaning, tidying up and always have to clean up Rilakkuma’s mess. The gang’s member also includes Chairoikoguma – Rilakkuma’s new friend living in the Forest of Honey. He has soft and fuzzy chest fur, bear shapes at his paws and always smells wonderfully sweet of honey.
At Exhibition zone, capture loads of cute photos at super cute photo frames, available exclusively at this town. Cuddle closely with Rikakkuma and his pals at Meet & Greet Zone, available 5 times from Monday – Thursday at 12.30, 14.00, 15.30, 17.00 and 18.30 hrs. and 6 times on Friday – Sunday at 11.00, 12.30, 14.00, 15.30, 17.00 and 18.30 hrs. Browse and shop vast arrays of Riakkuma licensed products from Japan like plushies, bags, outfits and trinkets at Shop Zone. Café Zone serves specialties Rilakkuma-themed desserts like puddings in various flavors, cheese tarts, fudge brownies, soft-served ice-cream and beverages, created by famous baker Bake-a-Wish.
