The Singapore Tourism Board (STB), in collaboration with Warner Bros.(F.E.),Inc. held the preview event of an Asian-led movie ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, a contemporary romantic comedy primarily filmed in Singapore.
The movie is based on the New York Times best-selling book by Singapore-born author Kevin Kwan. Crazy Rich Asians, showcases Singapore’s vibrant and multi-faceted food, culture, and lifestyle scenes. Some of the featured places include Gardens by the Bay - a multi-award winning horticultural attraction, Marina Bay Sands - an integrated resort notable for transforming Singapore’s city skyline, Bukit Pasoh - an enclave in Chinatown where some of the Singapore’s stunning shophouses, boutique hotels and unique eateries are located and, Haji Lane – situated in Kampong Glam where funky murals, quirky cafes and unique boutiques are found.

To bring viewers closer to the city’s charm and whet their appetites for the food, culture and nightlife experiences available in Singapore, STB collaborated with lifestyle publications to inspire people to watch the film by offering tickets for the preview event. In addition, a quiz featuring Singapore’s popular attractions and film locations on VisitSingapore Fanpage were carried out. STB also partnered with Warner Bros (F.E.), Inc and brought broadcast media to scenes and locations in Singapore that were featured in the movie.
