Startup Weekend events have been held in over 600 cities and over 100 countries since the non-profit organization started in the United States in 2007.
The event begins with open-mic 60-second pitches Fri night that result in the formation of small teams around the best, most viable concepts. Teams spend Sat and Sun focusing on customer development, validating their ideas and building prototypes with the help of experienced coaches. On Sun, teams demonstrate their education products and receive valuable feedback from a panel of expert judges and investors.
