The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok ranks as one of the best luxury hotels in Bangkok, with the highest levels of exceptional experience, service and facility for discerning business or leisure travelers.
Athenee Spa located on the 5th floor of The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok uses only indigenous products that are chemical free, locally sourced and fair-trade supported; where guests can choose from over 40 treatments, ranging from a selection of massage styles through to entire spa journeys.
Within this very extensive area are a total of seven treatment rooms, with five single treatment rooms and two couple treatment rooms, together with a salon and a separate relaxation area.
The design of Athenee Spa evokes the image of a genteel Siamese during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the mid Rattanakosin era. Use of golden artifacts, stenciled brass work, and gold leaf symbolize the royal status, and the atmosphere is one of perpetual calmness. Flowers and floral arts form a distinctive element in the spa, with fragrant blooms including Spanish cherry, Thai jasmine, peony, ylang ylang and royal lotus.
Signature treatments include Regal Journey, using a technique in which only fingers and palms are used by the therapist; and Royal Ritual, a complete body treatment that ends with a golden leaf being placed on a pressure point of the guest’s wrist to mark the completion of the journey.
Forbes Travel Guide is recognized for creating the original concept of Five-Star service, and The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok and Athenee Spa are the latest addition to its illustrious annual Star Rating list.
“We have been committed to championing genuine Five-Star service for more than 60 years, and this year’s winners, as always, exemplify the very highest standards in hospitality,” said Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide.
