The Emporium and The EmQuartier shopping complexes, in collaboration with SCB M VISA credit card and Tourism Authority of Thailand, celebrated the Chinese New Year festival and welcomed the auspicious year of the pigs with “Emporium EmQuartier Chinese New Year 2019.”
Spectacular aerial shows were performed 40 meters above the ground, featuring Nadech Kugimiya and Diana Flipo gracing from heaven along with the emperor dragon floating above Quartier Avenue throughout the Chinese New Year celebration.
The show opened with an invitation to the new asterism year with echoes of drums as loud as heaven can hear, showing power, strengths, wishes, and energy to anyone who hears it. Then, the four gods appeared from heaven to perform their miraculous powers including Heng Jia, Nezha, Erlang Shen, and Guan Yu. The celestial swan, portrayed by Ploychompoo Payonrat from Thailand’s Got Talent, flew around while balancing a dragon marble for the perfect yin-yang symbolism. Ending with the highlight of angels dancing delicately in heaven, welcoming The Jade Emperor and Queen Mother of the West who graced us with good fortune, well-being, longevity, and eternal happiness.”
As an auspicious present to attendees, The Emporium and The EmQuartier shopping complexes have displayed the head of the dragon god, consecrated from Wat Chin Pracha Samoson (Wat Leng Hok Yi) Chacherngsao province, for passersby to pay respect and wish for prosperity and good fortune. Additionally, over 2,000 consecrated dragon’s headpieces were also distributed to customers.
