Miss Siam, a Thai restaurant at Hua Chang Heritage Hotel Bangkok, presents “The Miss Siam Legend” to highlight the legacy of Thai cuisine and Thai charms through authentic sweet and savory dishes. At the event, Chef Pairos Prapairak or “Chef Bombay” will create special Thai dishes, cooked to perfection for the guests to enjoy, such as soft shell Fried soft crab with mango salad, Crispy rice noodle, Beef with grape spicy salad, Deep fried sea bass topped with variety of assorted herbs, Fried King river prawn with chili paste, and Crab curry, all of which are signature dishes at Miss Siam. Additionally, Chef Bombay also shares cooking secrets and tips on cooking authentic Thai food. “First of all, the restaurant’s name Miss Siam came from a species of Thai lotus flower with beautifully layered vibrant pink petals. On the other hand, Miss Siam also represents Thai ladies who are beautiful, well-mannered and great at cooking. Miss Siam wants to present the beauty of Thai cuisine which has won the hearts of people around the world. At Miss Siam, we pay attention to every single detail to ensure perfect quality in every dish. In meat preparation, we use crystal sea salt to remove the smell. We also use natural ingredients such as banana leaf to wrap shrimp paste before grilling to add a delicious aroma. We use coconut flower nectar instead of refined sugar for a well-rounded taste and natural scent. These are local wisdom passed on from generation to generation, and Miss Siam wants to keep them alive to prevent them from being forgotten. For decoration, Miss Siam is luxurious and elegant, fusing contemporary Thai design with Thai art, as seen in our flooring tiles, lotus-patterned mirror, and the use of traditional Thai headgear to create a sense of Thainess along with Western furniture. |
Miss Siam has been operating for seven years now, and one of our proudest moments was when we served our food to H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on an unofficial visit on January 1, 2013. It brought us great joy to receive this honor. We have also been honored to welcome special guests and country leaders such as the King of Tonga ʻAhoʻeitu Tupou VI and the Queen consort Nanasipauʻu Tukuʻaho, as well as H.R.H. Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi of Brunei. Their visits have made us very proud.”
