MICHELIN unveiled the first selection for the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok featuring a total of 98 restaurants. The collection highlights how the city embraces international dining without abandoning its heritage and authentic cuisine that draws millions of visitors worldwide. Three restaurants obtained two stars in the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok 2018 included Gaggan, Le Normandie in The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Mezzaluna on the 65th floor of the Lebua Hotel. Also awarded one star included restaurants highlighting Thai cuisine prepared by local Thai chefs like Chim by Siam Wisdom, Bo.Lan, Saneh Jaan, Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok while one street food vendor, Jay Fai, obtained one star. Also recognised are the establishments offering international cuisine included Ginza Sushi Ichi, Sühring, L’Atelier de JoëlRobuchon, J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorrain, Elements and Savelberg. This year’s selection also features a total of 35 restaurants awarded a Bib Gourmand.
