The Emporium and The EmQuartier shopping complexes, in collaboration with Government Savings Bank, are organizing “Under His Peaceful Reign, Praise the King,” a contemporary art exhibition honoring His Majesty King Rama X of Thailand, featuring pieces created by five of Thailand’s renowned artists with an extensive history in the Thai art scene.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 24 April to 12 May 2019 at Emporium Gallery, M floor, The Emporium shopping complex. The general public is encouraged to join the candle lighting ceremony dedicated to King Rama X and His Majesty’s royal coronation ceremony.
Suthavadee Sirithanachai Deputy Managing Director, The Emporium The EmQuartier said; “In this auspicious occasion of the royal coronation, which is considered one of the most momentous historical moments in Thailand. It is an ancient tradition of many hundreds of years that brings joy and happiness to all Thais. The Emporium and The EmQuartier shopping complexes, along with Government Savings Bank, would like to contribute to the occasion with an art exhibition in honor of His Majesty King Rama X, titled ‘Under His Peaceful Reign, Praise the King,’ between 24 April - 12 May this year at Emporium Gallery, M floor, The Emporium shopping complex. The contemporary art exhibition features works from five of Thailand’s most renowned artists with an extensive history in the Thai art scene. Ten pieces on display were created in order to commemorate the new King of Thailand, painted to show the unique styles and individual techniques of each artist. These artworks represent the loyalty and praises from all Thai people towards the royal coronation ceremony.”

The exhibition, ’Under His Peaceful Reign, Praise the King,’ features works from five of Thailand’s renowned artists created to honor His Majesty King Rama X with techniques and specialties unique to each artist; Amrit Chusuwan with “The Center of All Thais,” Sakwut Wisesmanee with “Rama X,” Jitsing Somboon with “The Contemporary Master," Chalit Nakpawan with “With Love, Respect, and Praise,” and Nakorn (Lik) Sriprasert with “Long Live the King."
In addition to the contemporary art exhibition from the artists, The Emporium and The EmQuartier will be decorated with portraits and symbols of the King and the royal coronation ceremony. A book for general public pledges and signatures will be placed in both shopping complexes between 4-6 May 2019.
