The leading watch exhibition is held under the concept “The Unique Timepieces”, exclusively at Siam Paragon from today until September 9, 2018. At the event, CASIO G-SHOCK leads way with its exclusive G-STEEL x CORDURA collection, the latest from the unbreakable G-STEEL series that combine street-fashion and luxury into one perfect unison, under the concept “G-STEEL: From Suit To Street, When Style Meets Function”. The watch boasts a design that can be adapted for every lifestyle from a relaxing day at home, a working weekday, an adventure-filled weekend or even a suit and black-tie event. The G-STEEL x CORDURA collection stands-out with its unique design and powerful band that combines 3 types of materials that make up for its outstanding strength and wear resistance. The core of the band is resin, the inner surface is Tough Leather, which is used for heavy-duty work wear, and the outer surface is CORDURA® fabric, which is three times stronger than nylon. The CORDURA® fabric is synonymous for its toughness and durability, used in military wear and bullet bags for its revolutionary windproof, scratch-resistant, tear-resistance and waterproof properties, which prevents the absorption of sweat that is the main cause of concern for most fabric watch. |
Apart from the super durable CORDURA® band, the G-STEEL x CORDURA series also houses a stainless steel bezel that utilizes Tough Solar charging system, which converts not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into power. The watch is water resistance up to 200M, with a Mobile Link system that connects wirelessly with your smartphone via Bluetooth®, which makes it the perfect go-to modern day companion for every occasion and lifestyle.
The G-STEEL x CORDURA outfitted in military-influenced colorways of black and green is available in 4 models. The GST-S130BC-1A (Black IP bezel and black band), GST-S130BC-1A3 (Black IP bezel and Military green band), GST-S130C-1A (Silver bezel and black band) in Standard Fit; and the GST-S330C-1A (Silver bezel and black band) in a smaller mid-size version for Asian Fit.
Another highlight model is the MTG-B1000, from the MTG (Metal Twisted G-SHOCK) series that is a mixture between steel and resin. While constantly going bigger and bigger in recent years, this year the new MTG-B1000 comes with a smaller and slimmer exterior that houses a Triple G Resist structure, built to withstand three kinds of gravitational acceleration: external shocks, centrifugal gravity and vibrations. The MTG-B1000 has a sapphire crystal and metal parts that are polished to a hairline finish, with Super Illuminator LED light, world clock, timer and CASIO's signature solar-charging system.

The watch has a low-temperature LCD display (-20°C, -4°F), sapphire crystal, and carbon fiber insert band for enhanced durability. It is water-resistant for up to 200 meters and like the original it is resistant to mud and dust.
The new RANGMAN has a Triple Sensor (alti/barometer, compass, thermometer) and Bluetooth connectivity, developed with the concept ‘Ultimate Toughness for Survival’. The GPR-B1000 is the first G-Shock with the Navigation System feature, which can display the current location on a route or bearing to a destination in real-time. Tracking data can be saved automatically in intervals and point data (time/date, longitude/latitude, altitude, atmospheric pressure, and temperature) can be recorded with the push of a button. In addition, the Backtrack function allows the user to navigate to the starting point, using track data to display the route and current bearing. New routes can be created and log data managed on a Bluetooth-connected smartphone with the G-Shock Connected app, with a 2D and 3D map display and timeline for tracking data. Photos taken with the phone while using GPS can be displayed in the timeline view.
