Year on Year Excellence at Traill

Same commitment for more than 50 years to provide students with every opportunity possible to become successful in whatever career they choose

AT Traill International School we are celebrating yet another excellent year of IGCSE and A Level results. It is no surprise to any of the teachers and staff that we have a reputation for outstanding results, and our plan is that 2018/19 will continue this pattern. Like every exceptional school, Traill’s Board of Governors and Senior Management team have in place a long term academic development plan to ensure that our students continue to receive a first class education.

Whilst strategies have changed over the years to take into account curriculum changes, one thing that has remained
constant since the creation of the school in 1966, is the philosophy that smaller class sizes greatly benefit both the teachers and the students.

With an overall school ratio of 8:1, the teachers are able to offer students individual attention. As a result teachers are able to focus on students’ strengths and weaknesses and amend their bespoke education plan accordingly. It is this level of attention that has been proven to be key to our success.

It isn’t just the academic strategies that are subject to long term planning. The quality of the educational experience of our students is of paramount importance to the Traill Board of Governors. A constant review of the school’s facilities is therefore carried out throughout the academic year. An action plan is put in place over the summer break to maintain and improve the existing facilities to an excellent standard, to coincide with the start of the school year.

This year’s action plan has also included improvements to the nursery/ kindergarten areas which now have the benefit of additional classrooms,
an enclosed bike track and most importantly, increased security. So with another year academic year underway, it is clear that Traill’s management are as committed today as they were 52 years ago, to providing students with every opportunity possible to become highly successful in whichever career path they choose.
