LOOSELY adapted from Lafcadio Hearn’s Japanese novel The Tale of the Heike Kwaidan, Somtow Sucharitkul’s new opera brings to life the tale of the Battle of Dan-no-Ura, a major naval battle of the Genpei War, and features one long scene that takes the audience through the mélée to zoom in on the battle’s most important events. Starts at 8pm.
