The announcement was made this month at the official launch of the seventh edition of the Michelin Guide Thailand 2024. This exceptional achievement solidifies Blue by Alain Ducasse’s position as a leader in the city’s vibrant dining scene.
Located at ICONSIAM, on the banks of the historic Chao Phraya River, Blue by Alain Ducasse offers a breathtaking setting for a memorable culinary journey. The restaurant boasts a sleek and sophisticated interior featuring panoramic views of the river and the bustling Bangkok cityscape. Since its opening in 2019, the multi-award-winning restaurant has earned a loyal following among discerning gourmands for Executive Chef Wilfrid Hocquet’s dedication to using the finest seasonal ingredients and his innovative approach to traditional dishes.

In November 2023, the restaurant opened world’s first standalone bakery boutique under Alain Ducasse, the Blue by Alain Ducasse Bakery Boutique. Located on the ground floor of ICONSIAM, it offers a meticulously curated selection of signature baked products, viennoiserie, Alain Ducasse Coffee and Alain Ducasse Chocolate from La Manufacture in Paris, enhancing their culinary journey.
This year, Blue by Alain Ducasse also scored high in Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants by Koktail magazine 2023-2024, with an inclusion in the Top 30 restaurants in Thailand. In addition, Executive Chef Wilfrid Hocquet was named ‘Chef of the Year’. At the same time, Restaurant General Manager Giovanni Pitton took home the ‘Excellence in Service’ Award. The restaurant also ranks Top 100 Restaurants in Bangkok 2023 by BK magazine.
The team at Blue by Alain Ducasse also launched ‘Beyond the Boundaries,’ a culinary series with no bounds or constraints that brought together some of Bangkok’s most talented chefs for an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. The first edition of the groundbreaking included chefs from Sühring, Maison Dunand, IGNIV Bangkok, Côte by Mauro Colagreco, Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. The second edition saw chefs from Canvas, Wana Yook, Elements, Inspired by Ciel Bleu, and Kyo Bar cook up a symphony of flavours.
The series also saw executive Chef Wilfrid collaborate with Chef Jeffrey Downs of Holt restaurant in Taipei, Chef Michihiro Haruta of Crony in Tokyo, and Loïc Portalier, head chef of the modern French restaurant Claudine in Singapore.
