The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket is inviting guests to celebrate the Songkran Festival in style this April with a series of uplifting experiences that showcase the authentic spirit of Thai New Year.
The festivities commence early in the morning (07.00-08.30 hrs) on 13 April, Songkran Day, as guests are invited to take part in an alms-giving ceremony and make merit with local Buddhist monks – a wonderfully auspicious start to a day of celebrations. A traditional long drum parade (08.30-09.00 hrs) will then beat a rhythm from the resort’s lobby to Prego by the Beach, the serene seafront restaurant.
The resort’s soft, sandy beach will then set the stage for a full day of vibrant Thai New Year activities, including a water pouring ceremony (09.00-10.00 hrs), a muay Thai dance show, sea boxing, kids’ games and more!
