Four guest chefs bring a touch of Michelin star magic to the city this month (May 2016)

Kirk Westaway at Tables Grill
 
JAAN, the Singapore Modern French restaurant that is a regular fixture on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, will be featured at Tables Grill (Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok) from May 25 – 26. Arranged by Sanpellegrino, the event will see Jaan’s chef de Cuisine Kirk Westaway present a menu of modern French cuisine with English subtleties. Expect delicious surprises in abundance. B5,800++ per person (inclusive of Bellavista sparkling wine, S.Pellegrino sparkling and Acqua Panna still natural mineral waters)

Emmanuel Renaut at La Scala
 
FROM May 23 – 28 The Sukhothai Bangkok, as part of its superb ‘Art of Dining’ series, will play host to the owner and chef of the three Michelin starred Flocons de Sel restaurant in Megève, France. Taking control of the kitchens of La Scala, he’ll create his signature dishes for set lunch (B4,500++ per person) and set dinner (B8,500++ per person). Seats are expected to sell out fast.

José Avillez at Lord Jim’s
 
THE head chef of the two Michelin star Belcanto restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal, is taking a break from the kitchens of that establishment to present his award-winning cuisine at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok’s renowned Lord Jim’s. Catch him as he teams up with the restaurant’s culinary team to create a series of exclusive dining experiences from May 24 – 28, including, on May 27, a seven-course wine dinner paired with wines from E.Guigal winery.

Stéphane Buron at La VIE
 
FLYING in specially from the French Alps, where he works as chef de cuisine of the two Michelin starred Le Chabichou restaurant, and packing plenty of seasonal ingredients, Chef Stéphane will cook up an inventive and refined seven-course menu at La VIE – (VIE Hotel Bangkok), from May 25-28. B6,000 per person (or B8,000 per person with wine pairings).
