The culinary team at Michelin-starred Elements Restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok has recently launched a new tasting menu.

Inspired by the famous two-star Michelin restaurant Ciel Bleu at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam, Elements has developed a reputation for serving finely prepared gourmet French cuisine with seasonal Japanese influences. The talented culinary team in Bangkok has worked closely with their Ciel Bleu counterparts to share culinary savoir-faire and develop the new tasting menu. There are 3 tasting menu options to choose from offering between 5 – 7 courses. Each starts with 4 amuse bouche that combine French cooking techniques with Japanese ingredients: they are Eggplant & Goat Cheese serve with Cracker; Shrimp & Daikon Radish on Chicken Skin; Macaron with Tuna and Furikake; and Croquette of Parsnip, Shoso Leaf and Karashi.
Highlights from the tasting menus include seasonal treats such as Taraba Crab with Japanese rice, Sea Urchin butter and Seaweed, Local Organic Duck with Eggplant, 12-spices and Miso, Local Organic Garden Greens with Daidai Vinegar, Kurobuta Pork Belly with Langoustine, Kumquat and Japanese Curry, and much more. To enhance an innovative dining experience, guests can add a 75gm Japanese Wagyu Beef Sirloin (A4) cooked to perfection. The pre-dessert of Flavours of nougat de Montélimar followed by Gomasio, a chocolate mousse of 70% Mekonga Cacao with banana ice cream, yuzu jelly and sesame sauce is a great way to end a fantastic dining experience.

The new tasting menus are available at Elements Restaurant priced at Baht 3,600 for 5-courses, Baht 4,000 for 6-courses and Baht 4,400 for 7-courses. Japanese Wagyu Beef Sirloin (A4) is priced at Baht 1,300.

Elements is one of only 22 restaurants in Bangkok to receive a Michelin star in the second edition of Michelin Guide Thailand, Michelin Guide 2019 Bangkok, Phuket and Phang-nga. The restaurant represents new generation lifestyle dining where East meets West with classic ease. Elements provides outstanding cuisine in a relaxed and informal setting with the added attraction of an open kitchen that gives diners an up close and personal feel for the skills and expertise of the chefs who create culinary theatre at the very heart of the restaurant.

Elements Restaurant is located on the 25th floor of The Okura Prestige Bangkok. For more information and reservations, please contact 02 687 9000 or email [email protected], or book on our website www.okurabangkok.com
