Jimmy Choo has announced a collaboration born out of Korea with the revered Seoul based stylist to the stars, Mr YK Jeong. The capsule collection comprising 9 styles will be available globally from the 9th January 2020.
The relationship between Jimmy Choo and Mr. YK Jeong was ignited by a mutual relationship with the red carpet. Whilst Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director creates the ultimate red carpet worthy shoe designs, Mr YK Jeong styles his portfolio of talented actors and rising stars of Korea in her creations.
The collaboration between Jimmy Choo and YK Jeong will offer surprising new silhouettes with a unique K-fashion spirit redefining modern street style glamour as well as a limited edition colourway of the iconic Diamond sneaker. The designs are fused together with irreverent flashes of highlighter shades of neon echoing the collection name – The Highlighted. This is a direct reference to the stylist power YK Jeong has to put his portfolio of talents into the literal spotlight. YK chose a playful bear character to represent himself in the role of creative collaborator as part of the collection storytelling.
