BARBECUE fans are in for a real treat at this new restaurant on Surawong Road. Inspired by the culture of the American south, where owners Dany and Dana Garber took a road trip in 2012 and discovered the magic of ‘low-and-slow’ barbecuing in Lockhardt, Texas, as well as the juke joints of the Mississippi Delta, its built on the same principals which make Texas rib joints so popular – top quality meats, careful cooking, and a laid-back atmosphere. The science of brining meat, creating spice dry rubs, and selecting hardwoods for smoking, all contribute to tender, fall-off-the-bone barbecued meats – including the mouthwatering pulled pork sandwich you see pictured here. Delicious.
