MORE than 40 culinary schools, colleges and universities throughout the country were invited to participate in season two of the Real California Milk Culinary Academy Competition this year. The competition was held by California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) in partnership with the US Embassy's Office of Agricultural Affairs. 12 teams later participated in the final round at Dusit Thani College on November 9, and Suan Dusit International Culinary School was declared the winner. Team members Ms Supara Kittiudom and Mr Weerathep Artarekom, along with team advisor Ms Panjama Praphapantasak, created three amazing dishes using the California dairy products including their tasty appetiser featuring a variety of California cheeses. Because of their victory, the two will travel to San Francisco and visit the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone campus. All of the prizes for the competition were valued at B500,000 in total. |
