ROSEWOOD PHUKET PARTNERS WITH LITTLE BUKIT FARM TO OFFER A RUSTIC CULINARY EXPERIENCE

Rosewood Phuket launches a new rustic culinary experience to Little Bukit Farm, offering resort guests the opportunity to have exclusive access to  an exquisite organic farm-to-table journey surrounded by nature.

Farm owner Melinda Briend-Marchal, alongside Rosewood Phuket’s Executive Chef Luca De Negri, guides the rustic epicurean encounter which provides a holistic educational experience about the usage of locally grown, sustainable produce.

Upon the sunset arrival at the farm, Melinda, along with her husband Sanya, will personally give a tour of the farm before guests are invited to refresh with welcome Champagne drink. They are then seated at the elegant outdoor dinner area for a seven-course degustation dinner featuring fresh produce from the farm, paired with sustainably sourced ingredients from the resort’s Partners In Provenance.

The bespoke menu is based on seasonality and harvest cycles, and a vegetarian option is also available. Past menu highlights include Farm Bathing (Eco Acquaculture Grouper Carpaccio, Citrus Dressing Pickled Beetroot, Mint); Keep it Real (Spirulina Tagliatelle, spinach salsa, green peas, almond); and Wood Burning Fire (Herbs Chicken, Corn, Pumpkin).

The evening concludes with a cheese platter made from the farm’s resident goats paired with natural wine, dessert, and a nutritious herbal drink. The Rosewood Phuket and Little Bukit Farm dinners will be held monthly and is THB28,000++ per couple.
Sustainability lies at the very heart of Rosewood Phuket, and the resort’s wider commitment to help its precious natural environment include a net-zero approach to water usage, food composting, an energy-efficient building design, energy conservation and renewable energy harvesting, efforts which have earned the resort a LEED Gold verification for its sustainable achievements.

Whenever possible, Rosewood Phuket partners with local businesses to lessen their carbon footprint and bring Rosewood’s “A Sense of Place” philosophy to its menus. Approximately a third of all dishes incorporate ingredients sourced from the partners in provenance, including seasonal vegetables, sago palm flour, unique golden brown rice, and caviar from locally raised Siberian sturgeon.

Resort activities designed with sustainability in mind include a Plant-Based Cooking Class, in which guests learn about the herbs and vegetables grown at the resort and learn to prepare their own green juice and three-course healthy lunch. Visits to a local school and a dog rescue centre allows guests to learn more about the foundations in which the resort is actively involved.

At Rosewood Phuket, children also have the opportunity to learn about the resort’s natural eco-systems. A pillar of the resort’s Rosewood Explorers children’s programme is sustainability, designed to inspire an awareness of the importance of conservation that will last throughout their lives.

At the electronics-free kids’ club, junior travellers also have the chance to partake in activities designed to encourage adventure, discovery and social responsibility, including Beach Cleaning & Recycling, designing outfits from recycled material in Eco Fashion, and learning more about the resort’s sustainability efforts with Ocean Life and Eco Discovery Walk.

A 48-hour advance reservation is required for the Rosewood Phuket x Little Bukit Farm activity, which is offered daily for THB28,000++ per couple.
