New afternoon ritual available at The St. Regis Bar from June 1 – July 31, 2022
The St. Regis Bangkok presents a new “Picnic with Little JJ” Afternoon Tea, presented from June 1 – July 31, 2022, at The St. Regis Bar.
The latest afternoon indulgence celebrates International Picnic Day on June 18 and Teddy Bear Picnic Day on July 10, and draws inspiration from the hotel’s beloved Little JJ teddy bear, named after John Jacob “JJ” Astor IV, who first founded The St. Regis New York as a place to pursue his passions in the company of the city’s luminaries.
A signature ritual of The St. Regis, the tradition of afternoon tea is served at The St. Regis Bar, where guests can enjoy the “picnic” overlooking the lush greens of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club. A limited-edition Little JJ will be part of the afternoon tea setup, and is available for purchase to bring home.
Guests who bring their own soft toy friends to join “Picnic with Little JJ” will receive one complimentary mocktail.
Designed as a relaxed meal shared amongst loved ones, “Picnic with Little JJ” Afternoon Tea features handcrafted savory delights including Smoked Salmon with Horseradish Mousse and Caviar; Herb Croissant with Spiced Orange Glazed Ham; Potato and Truffle Cream on Rice Cracker. The set also includes seafood nibbles including Tuna Tartare with Ginger and Ponzu Sauce; Crab and Chili Mayo with Charcoal Bread.
Balancing out the savory indulgence is a selection of sweet items including Elderflower Macaron served with The St. Regis blend tea and a raspberry shooter; Caramel Macchiato Mousse; Honey Lemon Pudding with White Chocolate and Yuzu Caviar. Classic picnic fruit dishes are presented as Normandy Apple Tart and Basque Cheesecake with Wild Berries. Traditional scones are also reimagined as White Chocolate Charcoal Scones and Passion Fruit Scones, served with apricot jam, passion fruit mango jam, and clotted cream.
