Pesca Mar & Terra Bistro Opens To Savour The Flavours Where “Land Meets Sea”

25/6/2018

The Kitchen Group continues their reigning success of ‘Farm-to-table’ lifestyle of Cocotte Farm Roast & Winery and delivers their 2nd conceptual masterpiece, ‘Pesca Mar & Terra Bistro’.

The hype from ‘Cocotte’ has introduced Bangkok to what we know as ‘Slow Foods’ culture. Pesca Mar & Terra Bistro now introduces ‘The Finest Market Products’ and became The Kitchen Group’s latest creative expansion project of grade-A meats, comprehensive selections of cheese varieties, and extraordinary platters of fresh seafood!

Located in the robusting central Sukhumvit, Ekkamai Soi 12, Pesca Mar & Terra Bistro stands as a cozy corner house. Inside, tailored-made wooden furnitures and decorative blue tiles give an impression of a country-side Mediterranean get-away. The outside garden terrace displays rows of exotic plants and splashes of green graffiti in total reminder of a ‘mid-summer haven’, a great escapade for the urban foodies.
On top of the warm décor, hearts and souls were dedicated to the well-seasoned dishes at Pesca mar & terra Bistro by young Michelin-star Chef Jeriko Van Der Wolf. Chef Jeriko has made quite a name for himself with his creativity in starring in popular viral videos with 2016’s debut of Cocotte Farm Roast & Winery and in cooking techniques firing up the kitchen. Chef Jeriko quoted, ‘The art of a great dish is a well-balanced, simple & natural ingredient.’

The Kitchen Group’s newest addition Italian Chef Marco Pacetta has joined Pesca. Chef Marco’s renowned for his particular selections of the freshest foods from the sea and finest meats into fabulous Mediterranean dishes with a French touch. With both prized Chefs spearheading Pesca’s culinary scene, Pesca’s popular tapas signatures are ‘Beef Tartar X Oyster (Angus Beef “au couteau”, oyster juice, oyster mousse, & ponzu sauce)’ and ‘Ravioli Foie Gras’ (homemade ravioli foie gras, green peas, truffle sauce & fried onion).

Pesca mar & terra Bistro presents its Mediterranean roots with ‘Pesca’s Paella Royal’ , Spanish’s specialty flavored bomba rice with maine lobster, octupus, chicken, chorizo, mussels, and varieties of vegetables. Then follow the homemade ‘Mediteranean Fish Stew (Bouillabaise)’ served in a large bowl topped with baquette & Aioli, daily arrival fish in flavourful fish soupsaffron potatoes, . To meat lovers’ favorite, ‘Australian Wagyu Tenderloin” is a straight forward 250g wagyu beef imported from Australia cooked on Kamadoe Joe Jr  served with 1 Pesca sauce.  A signature that boasts Pesca’s Land Meets Sea, ‘Make It Surf’ allows foodies to mix & match seafood selections to their meat as they please. There are over 7 types of fresh osysters to choose from! For dessert, Pesca recommends the ‘Frozen Pinnacolada’- imagine pineapple sorbet, coconut macaroons & cream, pineapple-rum jelly– just heavenly!
“We’re proud to introduce Pesca mar & terra Bistro to be another top choice as an F&B destination. In the beginning, it was a challenge for us, even the chefs, as we had to source the best local organic products from the Royal Farm Project and many more. Our fresh seafoods came from Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan. We also have our own selection of house marinated seafood & meat.  The variety of cold cuts came from La Boqueria, Spain. We have over 80 varieties of cheeses on display. Hard-to-find cheese such as Beillevaire and many others are especially imported for Pesca. We are confident our customers will be receive the best quality of food and have taken the initiative ourselves to elevate urban lifestyle dining in Bangkok to a completely new level,” quoted Maxence Le Bartz, Managing Partner Pesca mar & terra Bistro. Laughingly, Le Bartz adds, “Pesca’s philosophy remains the basic principles as Cocotte’s– sharing food is caring!”

Pesca mar & terra Bistro address is 39 Ekkamai Road, Ekkamai soi 12, Klongton Nua, Wattana, Bangkok 10110. Opening hours: 11.00 am – 15.00 pm (Lunch) and 18.00 p.m. – 12.00 a.m. (Dinner). Parking is available.

Moroccan-inspired drinking and dining at Marrakesh Hua Hin
LOCATED a short stroll from the sands under a dome-topped gazebo and decorated in a modern Moroccan style, the Al Janna Beach Bar at Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort & Spa is a lovely spot to sink a few cocktails and while away an afternoon or evening with friends.

Staking a claim for being the most exotic beach bar in Hua Hin, Al Janna takes its name from the Arabic word Jannah, which means ‘garden’ or ‘paradise,’ and with its lovingly maintained lawn, low-slung brass tables, oversized bean bags, and subdued lighting, it certainly delivers a unique and wonderfully laid-back atmosphere that’s unlike anything else in town.

Amontre Restaurant and Bar

Great value comes as standard at this hip hangout on Sathorn
IF you’re looking for a good lunch or dinner option in the Silom or Sathorn area, look no further than Amontre. For here, top quality food at reasonable prices is the order of the day.

Developed from the simple wish to “just give people a good time,” Amontre is a trendy-yet-casual restaurant with a real emphasis on good food. Ingredients from the owners’ own organic farm add plenty of freshness to dishes, and the expert hand of Chef Wanchai Chatchotianan, who has over 13 years’ experience cooking in top hotels in Thailand, ensures the international cuisine and fusion fare on offer has plenty of flavour and flair.

Chef Wanchai’s hotel experience shines through in both the taste and presentation of his dishes, which look like they’ve been prepared in the kitchens of a five-star hotel. But the difference here, of course, is that you’re not paying hotel prices.

Leapfrog Restaurant and Bar

Looking for a rooftop meal at great value? Then it’s time to leap to Leapfrog

WHEN most people think of rooftop bars in Bangkok they usually think of the tried-and-tested venues such as Vertigo at the Banyan Tree, or Sirocco at Lebua. But there are plenty of other rooftop bars in town which are well worth a visit, including the trendy Leapfrog Restaurant and Bar at Ramada Encore Bangkok, Sukhumvit Soi 10.

Located on the hotel’s eighth floor, Leapfrog may not boast the same heady heights as found at the restaurants mentioned above, but it still offers a chic dining atmosphere, stunning views of Chuwit Park, and very good value for money.

Stlylishly decorated, the restaurant wouldn’t look out of place in any of New York’s trendiest districts. The indoor dining room is decked out with modern furniture, has glass walls looking directly into the hotel’s saltwater pool, and has another window looking into the kitchen where chefs can be seen hard at work cooking a wide range of fusion dishes. Diners can even go casual and enjoy their meal in an alfresco area decked out with comfy couches.
