Sunday brunch is the one day for family time. For fellowship and for catching up after a work week. Choosing a restaurant is key to an enjoyable brunch. The Sunday offering at Hotel Nikko Bangkok ticks all our boxes. Here’s why…

Located steps away from Thonglo BTS, location wise is perfect for those of us who train-ride everywhere. Ample parking also available. Hotel Nikko is also a brand-new hotel and we love the immaculate look and feel of a new hotel.

Head up to their restaurant The Oasis on the 6th floor and a compelling feast awaits. The restaurant is welcoming and is a
testament to minimalist charm. It is also adjacent to their swimming pool. Guests can utilize the pool after brunch too and chill the day away or do a lap or two. Truly an oasis!

BANGKOK Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is the largest hotel in Bangkok with 1,388 rooms and 5,000m² of function space across 37 venues. On the same note, their Goji Kitchen + Bar is expansive and well appointed. From this restaurant, the hotel delivers a weekly Sunday culinary odyssey around the world.

From fresh Alaskan king crab to indulgent French foie gras, Spanish suckling pig to prime tomahawk beef, the Sunday Brunch is amazing. We made our first stop at the foie gras station as two precious pieces shared a plate with a generous spoonful of the divine sauce. This is how every Sunday should begin.

The dramatic open-plan kitchen provided us diners with a panoramic view of chefs at work. At the Peking Duck station, a line of diners waited for their turn as the dynamic chefs rolled up the duck goodness. Right next door, a selection of dim-sum options awaited. Steaming hot variety of baozi or bao were our next target.

Head north east from here and you would find yourself in the meat and carving station. Lamb leg, prime tomahawk beef and roasted pork aligned in perfect unison. All that awaited was your choice of meat. There is also a Pad-Thai station armed with its own charcoal powered wok. Five types of oysters, a myriad of cheeses and cold cuts, Indian curries, a corner for Japan and so much more!

Sunday brunch starts from 11.45AM to 2.30PM. While we were indeed full, there were still so many regions unvisited, so many dishes untasted. Another odyssey for the next Sunday, surely…

Siam@Siam Design Hotel offers one of the best value Sunday Brunches in Bangkok
WE’VE long had a soft spot for Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok, mainly because the staff is always so darn good (you can count on genuinely friendly service from bell hop to rooftop bar) but also because the management seems intent on offering some of the best value dining deals in town.

Gourmet cuisine and free-flow Champagne result in an exquisite dining experience

LET’S get this straight. Sunday Brunch at J’AIME by Jean Michel Lorain is not your run of the mill affair. No buffet, no din, no waiting in line at live cooking stations. Instead, all the food is brought directly to you at your table – starting with an exquisite selection of small plates and cold cuts, homemade breads and pastries, and Caesar salad, followed by an unlimited choice of mains, and then a selection of signature desserts.

DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok all-day-dining restaurant is the perfect venue for a family feast
IN a hospitality world obsessed with modern, contemporary cool, it’s always a pleasure when you come across a hotel brand that’s unafraid of also embracing the past in its design and core concepts ‒ especially when these revolve around family.

Take the DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, for instance. Designed to reflect the art-deco-style of the early twentieth century, complete with rotary dial telephones, record players and old-fashioned candy dispensers as ornaments, the hotel also harkens back
