LOCATED on the 25th and 26th floor of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, Char restaurant offers incredible dishes from the creation of CHAR's Chef de Cuisine, Nikolas Ramirez.
With over 11 years experience in the USA and Asia, his roles included creative development for Gaggan Bangkok and Chef de Cuisine at 22 Kitchen & Bar at Dusit Thani Bangkok. The dishes here are guaranteed to be both delicious and creative.
The meal started with Spanish sea bass Ceviche, a carefully selected baby calamari fried in house-made batter topped with Amarillo Leche de Tigre and served with sliced sweet potato.
Next was the Chongqing chicken wings Kentucky style, crispy chicken wings topped with special-made super spicy sauce and chilli powder. For those who like spicy food, we'd totally recommend this dish but the heat can be toned down as per request.
The the juicy white pepper lamb rack, the lamb was grilled to perfection and served with grilled apples, dates and coconut curry dressing.
Followed by pork belly ‘XO’, marinated cut of pork with crispy skin that is aromatic and delicious served with Nam Prik Noom.
The CFC fried chicken sandwich was also a perfection in itself with the crispy fried chicken served in burger-style topped with delicious house-made sauce.
Followed by the whole lobster grilled ‘Cali-street style’ where a whole lobster was cooked to perfection and served with chilli, garlic, roasted corn, parmesan and lime topped with special homemade sauce.
As if all that was not enough, greeted us next were the signature banana cheesecake with a twist by chef Nikolas Ramirez.
The restaurant itself is decorated with contemporary style furnishing with artistic wall paintings. And another charm we fell in love is the rooftop bar where diners can find an extensive list of timeless vintage cocktails and enjoy them under the stars.
