Popular bar lives up to its name by offering an extensive selection of international beers
| "LIFE is too short to drink bad BEER” reads one motto, affixed to the wall at Beer Collection, a den of international beers and east-meets-west cuisine at K Village Shopping Mall, Sukhumvit 26. And the words certainly ring true here. The bar’s globe-spanning drinks menu features renowned and respected beers and ciders from England, Spain, Scotland, Belgium, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, America, Denmark and Germany, as well as a selection of unique beer cocktails and tangy beer sorbets; the latter of which are flash-frozen tableside in a metal canister topped with liquid nitrogen. Ranging in price from B160++ for a Kirin Ichiban Lager (Japan. 4.9%) to B735++ for a Heretic Torment Dark Beligian-Style Ale (USA. 10%), the menu of imported bottled beers includes highlights such as Holgate Temptress Chocolate Porter (Australia. 6%. B235++), Weihenstephaner Original (Germany. 5.4%. B220++), and Stone IPA (USA. 6.9%. B290++). If you prefer your beer on tap, options include Heineken (B149++ per pint), Asahi (B149++ per pint), Hitachino White Ale (B220++ for 300ml), and Brewdog Punk IPA (B250++ per pint). |  |
 | To accompany all the malt and hops, Beer Collection offers an extensive menu of reasonably priced fusion cuisine featuring salads, pastas, pizzas, seafood, Thai curries and Gab Glem (beer food), most of which has been given a modern spin. Popular choices include Deep fried sea bass fillet with mango salsa (B279++), Khao soy Angel Hair chicken / or pork with soft cartilage (B249++/B269++), Spicy signature seaweed salad (B219++), and Fresh Norwegian salmon served rolled in shot glasses with a spicy Northeastern-style sauce (B199++). For dessert, the aforementioned beer sorbet (B250++) comes in flavours such as lemon, apple, and raspberry, and is a great way to end a meal – or continue your boozy fun: shots of vodka can be added upon request. Beer Collection buzzes to life with the after-work crowd most nights of the week and is invariably busiest on weekends, when punters can really let their hair down. Adding to the atmosphere are the bar’s house bands, which play covers of international and local hits every Wed, Thurs and Sun from 7.30pm-9.30pm, and Fri-Sat from 9.30pm-11.30pm.
