Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok’s rooftop restaurant is a great place to enjoy a meal this festive season
| IT’S that time of the year when sitting outdoors sipping cocktails or enjoying a nice glass of wine is simply a wonderful idea. For good measure, add some upbeat music and marvel at the spectacular views of the city’s skyline, and you’ve got the perfection occasion. You can have all this and more at Blue Sky at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. Located on the 24th floor of the hotel, Blue Sky also offers diners Mediterranean and Asian delights as well as a host of delicious snacks by Chef Jean-Claude Pichon and his clever culinary team of experts. The menu is full of superb dishes, but the following caught our eye and delighted our taste buds: |  |
 |  Yellow Tail Tartar with apple and lemon pepper caviar. Alaskan king crab and lobster ravioli in Riesling sauce. Egg net wrap with marinated white shrimp and crispy soft crab shell, tamarind sauce, Thai pesto. Aged beef and rock lobster tail “surf & turf style,” featuring 240 days grain-fed Australian aged beef tenderloin with rock lobster tail, herbs potato gnocchi and wild mushroom served with truffle sauce. Bush herbs crust lamb rack with Kenya beans, capsicum and borletti beans with three peppercorn sauce. Chilean snow fish – oven baked snow fish with grilled vegetables, broad bean and Spanish chorizo. And for dessert, we opted for the delicious and warm Guanaja chocolate fondant. Another highlight of Blue Sky is the resident DJ, Feel Love, who spins the latest pop, R&B, slow hip hop and chart music. With over six years’ experience working at top restaurants and hotels around town, Feel Love, A.K.A Lyn Jongwilaikasem,knows how to create the perfect atmosphere for rooftop drinking and dining. She’s friendly too, and will do her best to play any request. Catch her performing every Mon to Sat from 9pm until midnight.
