Like any superior rooftop bar, The Roof is tailored to suit the tastes of discerning drinkers and offers a wide range of fine spirits and wines and, bang on trend, international craft beers. Wines start at B320++ per glass, beers at B280++. Mixologists behind the alfresco bar (the whole venue is open-air), meanwhile, channel their skills into creating innovative mixes that come bursting with flavour and that all important boozy kick. Sex on the roof, a fruity concoction blending absolut apeach, Galliano, orange juice, cranberry juice and pineapple juice is the perfect way to beat back a stressful day at the office. So too the apple-scented La Pomme, and the sweet and citrusy Lychee & grapefruit martini. These cocktails are all jumbo size – for two people to share – and priced just B650++. Prefer your drinks virgin? Try the refreshing Watermelon lemonade (watermelon, cranberry juice, sour mix, mint leaves and lemonade. B250++). To accompany the drinks, The Roof offers a Tapas menu featuring sharing platters inspired by international cuisines, alongside a selection of skewered barbecued meats and a choice of fusion sushi.
Highlights include crunchy, salmon-filled Brazil spring rolls (B250++), the succulent Mixed satay (B260++), and French mixed, a barbequed shrimp skewer served with sautéed seasonal vegetables (B380++).
The pizza-inspired Tart ambé Alsacienne (B390++), featuring mushroom, chorizo and whipping cream, is another tasty option that’s perfect for sharing.
